Celebrating Foster Care Fortnight – This is Fostering!
This year, Foster Care Fortnight runs from Monday 11 May to Sunday 24 May. Beacon Fostering is delighted to be supporting the event and well done to the Fostering Network for all their support and efforts. We hope the two week event continues to raise the profile of fostering and the difference that people can make together.
The theme this year is “This is Fostering” – to highlight the everyday experiences of fostering, the challenges and difficulties that are involved and the call to action for the Government and everyone to make a real change together.
Fostering is an amazing opportunity because of how you can support a child or young person with their future, well being and overall development. We encourage people to find out more about fostering, if you are interested directly, or if you can speak to your friends and family. Please also your story, if you are a foster carer, to promote the positive outcomes and what is involved.
