Already a Foster Carer? Here’s How to Transfer to Beacon Fostering
We also welcome experienced foster carers who are currently registered with another agency or local authority. Transferring to Beacon Fostering is simpler than you might think — and we’ll guide you through every step of the process.
Can I Transfer from Another Agency or Local Authority?
Yes, you absolutely can. Transferring agencies is a common and straightforward process, especially with Beacon Fostering’s support team on hand.
What if I Currently Have Children Placed With Me?
In many cases, children placed with you can transfer along with you, depending on discussions with the local authority responsible for their care. Each case is considered individually, with careful planning to ensure continuity and stability.
What Happens to My Form F Assessment?
Although your current Form F assessment cannot be transferred, we will complete a new one with you. The process is often quicker because of your existing experience, and we focus on updating details since your last assessment.
How Long Does the Transfer Process Take?
At Beacon Fostering, we aim to complete transfers within three months or sooner. We fast-track where possible – without cutting corners – to avoid unnecessary delays.
