Foster carer allowances increased!

For the next financial year from April 2024, foster carer allowances have been increased following a 6.8% rise as shared by the Government in December 2023.

This is linked to the increase in national minimum allowances for foster carers in England. The level is above the current inflation figures for England. There does however continue to be challenges for foster carers with the pressure from the cost of living for everyone and overall time for fostering. Beacon Fostering support the increases but would continue to support future higher minimum levels of fostering allowances overall.
