Fostering a child in Salford

If you’re thinking of becoming a foster carer to a child in Salford, there’s never been a better time to take the leap.

Salford has a population of 269,900, as shown in the last census from 2021. As of March 2023, however, there were just 125 fostering households registered with the local authority, compared to 554 children desperately needing a home to call their own. 43% of children, therefore, were placed outside the Local Authority area, meaning that there’s a real shortage of carers in the local community.

Are you interested in becoming a foster carer?

While the process can seem daunting, here at Beacon Fostering, we have decades of experience in placing children with well-matched families and loving homes.

Whether you’re transferring from another agency, or have never fostered a child before, Beacon Fostering is here to guide you.

With offices across the North West, we are well-placed to provide expert advice and support, no matter where you are on your fostering journey.
