Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Transferring To Beacon Fostering
Can I switch foster agencies?
Yes, you can move from your local authority to Beacon Fostering or another fostering organisation. Overall, this is not as tough or complex as you might believe. We are also there to assist you at every stage.
How much time does the transfer take?
Beacon Fostering can “fast track” your transfer process. We can finish this quickly and without any delays, but we won’t cut any corners or finish the entire transfer process. Our main goal is to finish your transfer process in three months or less.
How does it impact my Form F assessment?
To submit this to the Beacon Fostering panel, a fresh Form F assessment is required. Since your present agency has your Form F assessment, it cannot be transferred. However, it saves time to have been evaluated previously, and we can give priority to the time since your last Form F examination.
What would happen if I have children already placed with me?
Although each child or young person’s situation is unique, most youngsters placed with you are able to transfer agencies. Each local authority in charge of the child or young person placed with you would be consulted on this. It’s critical to collaborate extensively and make plans that take practical factors into account.
