Ofsted Registration

Beacon Fostering is successfully registered with Ofsted as an approved independent fostering agency. Our official Ofsted provider record (URN2793200) confirms that we meet all regulatory requirements and are fully operational under Ofsted’s oversight

What Does Ofsted Approval Mean for Foster Carers?

  • Fostering regulations Compliance: Ofsted registration means Beacon Fostering will comply with the latest Fostering Services Regulations and National Minimum Standards. Ofsted will complete a future inspection to check and review the agency’s compliance
  • Regular inspections & ongoing engagement with Ofsted: We are subject to an annual inspection and will work in partnership with Ofsted. This includes sharing relevant notifications with Ofsted on safeguarding matters.
  • Quality assurance: Approval reassures carers, placing authorities, and young people that our agency provides safe, effective, and outcome-driven therapeutic support.

 What’s Next for Beacon Fostering

  • Welcome inspections: As a newly registered agency, we expect our first full Ofsted inspection soon – likely within 12–18 months of registration.
  • Transparency and learning: Post-inspection summaries will be shared, developing our strengths and areas for growth.
  • Enhanced support materials: We’ll continue to refine training, safeguarding guidance, and policies in preparation for regulation and feedback cycles.
